Blog Challenge Kickoff Webinar
ByWe had a great kickoff webinar for the 30-Day Blog Challenge and many of you were able to join us. Great questions, too, thanks to all who were able to attend the live webinar.
Click To Watch the Replay – Opens in new window

Heck yeah Jeanette… looking forward to it.
I always love your enthusiasm, Robert! You’re a valued member – fer sure!
Jeanette, I won’t be able to make you webinar. Drat! I am working hospice on Tuesday. My patient’s will need my attention at that time. Will you be puting out any information that you cover during the webinar for those of us who will be off line at that time? Thanks for hosting this challenge. Looking forward to it. Mary Pat
Yes, we’ll have a replay. I’ll try to post it that same day and provide a link here at this site, a link at JeanetteCates.com and I’ll tweet about it. Whew! Any place else I should post it? I’m thinking for the NEXT blog challenge we need ONE site where all of the communication goes.
Jeanette,
Our BusinessTrainingTeam weekly webinar is at exactly the same time as your kickoff webinar, so I’ll have to miss, but will be looking forward to the replay.
I’m all ready to go and excited about it! Thanks for putting this together for us.
Jeanne
Thanks for the Twitterdoodle plugin. I think it’s exactly what I need. I’m still having an issue with that post showing on the blog, but will work on it over the next few days. Appreciate you!
Jeanne – I’m looking forward to all of your new blog posts as I’m sure others are. You are such a creative and thoughtful writer, it’s always fun to see what twist you take.
Have a great webinar – and we’ll do the same. See you on the replay!
Jeanette
Jeanette,
Can’t wait for your webinar. Good thing it’s at such a nice late hour for us here in the EU
As for where to post the replay link, can you post a link on the FB fan page as well? Some of use get our news from there. And I agree with the statement: “for the NEXT blog challenge we need ONE site where all of the communication goes”. Maybe we can get http://www.blog30challenge.com or something.
Cheerio!

Piotr – I’ll see what I can do about the FB fan page. That’s not my strong point, so if you know how to do it, let me know.
At your suggestion, I went in and registered the domain, but here’s the rub. Actually, several of them.
IF I host it all there, then I lose the power of the blog challenge to build traffic to MY blog. And since the blog challenge is on for 30 days then stops, that site would essentially be “dead” in between. Not good for traffic.
AND the second issue is that we are all posting to #blog30 – but so far I haven’t found a plugin or process that will pull that feed into a blog. I’ve been looking, as it would be ideal to do for THIS blog. But so far, can’t find anything.
So if anyone knows of a way to pull a twitter search feed into a wordpress blog please let me know.
Thanks for the great input – keep those ideas coming!
Jeanette
“so far I haven’t found a plugin or process that will pull that feed into a blog.”
The Twitterdoodle plugin will create a daily, or weekly, or “X number of minimum required tweets” digest of a given Twitter search and post it to your blog.
I figured that if you couldn’t find the right plugin, Robert would make it for you. But i agree that you should only host and do all the work if you get the traffic. I am not sure everyone realizes how much you’ve already put into this phenomenal effort. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us (and have done for us in the past) – this central site is where all communication can come and those who are addicted to twitter can break away for a few minutes to come over here.
Thanks again
Terrie
Thanks for the reminder. Business IS the reason we are doing this. While it’s fun, it’s good to meet new people, it’s great to write a lot of new posts – when it comes down to it, unless it’s increasing your traffic or your income, it’s just a hobby.
All of us need to keep that perspective as we go through the Blog Challenge. Have fun, make money. THAT’S the Internet Lifestyle!
Darn! I so want to be there to hear the whistle blow to start the challenge! But I’ll be at my J-O-B.
Like some of our other members, I’ll be tuning in for the replay, Jeanette.
BTW …
Creating this central site was on my wish list when you asked what makes for a good blogging challenge.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! It’s PERFECT.
Melanie
P.S. For Wordpress snags & issues – any chance Christina Hills could help?
Sorry you’ll miss it – but we’ll get the replay up by the time you come home from work.
So glad you’re enjoying the site. It’s been a lot of fun to put it together and I’ll end up creating a product on how to set up your own member directory as a result. It’s all about having fun while you’re making money!
I welcome help from everyone, so if Christina has answers for any issues, I’ll be glad to try them. So far all of the things we’ve tried have worked out within 24-48 hours, so I’m really pleased with how well it’s gone.
Go tell more friends about the Blog Challenge – we’d love to have them join us.
Thank you I am all signed up too! I sent a few tweets out on twitter! My twitter name is: PowerSellingMom
**cheers** to all!
Welcome! Glad to have you on board. Remember to add #blog30 to your tweets when you want them to show up in the 30-Day Blog Challenge tweet stream.
Enjoy!
Hi Jeanette,
Just signed on for the challenge- still setting up a new blog http://suziecheel.com. It will be 5am in Australia so I will set the alarm.
Thanks for all you do
So glad you have an excuse to get your new blog ready! I’ll look for you on the call –
Jeanette
Thanks for the 30DayBlog Challenge to Connie and yourself, both wonderful teachers and money-makers to model.

Hi Jeanette,
I found you through Connie R. Green. Just poppin’ in for a moment and introducing myself to you and all the other Blog challange members. I’ve started and you can find my 1st post, which mentions you, and the start of my challenge here: http://www.tynishathompson.com/blog/
Thanks for inspiration to help me kick this off.
This really is exciting and I am just blown away at all the work you have done for us Jeanette!! It is pretty outstanding that you could take a little idea that was working just fine and then created a huge super tent event out of it. We have much to learn and you are starting us off with great inspiration already!! Thank you!!

Helen
Hi Jeanette,
I am excited to get started with the challenge and am setting up my blog now. I thought the call was at 3 Pacific time so I missed it. What is the link for the replay so I can catch upp?
Thanks,
Linda
Hi Jeanette, I just signed up today and am excited to be able to participate. I didn’t catch the webinar, like some of the others I’m also at work. But I’m looking forward to listening to the replay.
I’m still rendering the replay webinar. We’re joining the audio and video, adding markers so you can find information quickly. Then I’ll post it right here on this link. It will still be top of the blog posts – so just click on the blog and you should see it.
Welcome to all of the new members! We over 150 strong at this point! Keep recruiting – it’s the perfect time for your readers and subscribers to join us!
I’m not able to get my blog post to show up on my member page. My google feedburner says it’s working properly but the member page just says “loading” forever and ever. What do I do? Anybody else experiencing this? Help…….
Awwww nevermind, I’m such a ninny. I figured it out.
It’s working here – so maybe it was “in progress”. You also need to add promo copy to your profile so that you’ll have a description showing next to your name in the directory listing.
I am really looking forward to the replay. I hated to miss it but I had to be with my daughter today. Thanks for all the great info btw!
thanks for posting the replay. i will watch it tonight – before or after Connie’s class – not sure yet – also depends on the yankees. But any webinar where you break the server has to be an excellent one!
Terrie
About the time I start to feel good about myself and think I have “arrived”, Connie comes in a with that sharp pin she always carries, bursts that bubble of allusion. Keep up the good works.
Dale
You can’t criticize Connie – she got us all started with the blog challenges.
I have been meaning to write regularly for so long and it just doesn’t happen unless I have a deadline or something equally compelling to get me motivated. I am excited to be a part of this challenge as it encourages me to share my knowledge that will hopefully be of help to others.
Chakraliciously yours,
Linda
Jeanette,
It is magnificent to watch you run this blog challenge so smoothly and efficiently. Everyone involved is excited, focused, and productive. This will surely go down in history as the best challenge ever.
Connie
Connie – thank you. I wanted to be sure I honor the spirit of the Blog Challenge, as you created it. It has done so much for other people I wanted to be sure we keep that up. Besides I was just doing what you did
tofor me – setting the bar higher!Thank you, Jeanette, for providing a space for me to challenge myself. I needed this push to get into action! I am really excited to see what will come from this!!!
So glad you joined us, Lissa. The challenge seems to be going along really well – and everyone is participating and helping one another a lot. So you’re chosen a great group of people to get to know! Write on!
This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to meet and deepen relationships and for feedback on their writings – all while increasing traffic! I’m there! Thanks to @Atta_Girl for giving me the scoop on this – sounds like fun!
So glad you were able to connect with the group and get started. I’m a firm believer that we create our own opportunities, so I’m sure you’ll take advantage of all the Blog Challenge has to offer! Welcome!
Hi Jeanette,
Helen just told me there is a 7 day blog Challenge that starts this coming Sunday … how/when/where do I sign up to join in on that one [since 30 day already well under way]?
Thanks, Allie
p.s. just got my blog up last night [askchefallie.com], with Helen’s assit
Not sure on the details yet (have had a family emergency this week so running about 3 days behind so far!). But I’ll send out an email to everyone here and to all of my lists as well.
Hi Jeanette- rolling along with 17 posts so far, which by the end should make up the bulk of a workbook on 10 thinking tools I call ‘InSight Frames: for Faster, Better Easier Thinking’. Thank you for this opportuniuty and for your leadership!
Wasn’t sure where you wanted us to tell you our number of posts (which you requested in the half-way call), so here it is!
