I am the blessed wife to a man whom I adore and who loves me even when the Fuller Temper rears its ugly head.

I am the slightly crazed mother of the three craziest, wittiest, most intelligent and competitive adult kids a woman could ever have had the fortune to bear and raise. I am pleased as punch to be the mother-in-law of three. The two males are a Redneck Romantic and the other a financial genius both of whom have a sense of humor that fits right into our family; their female counterpart is a beautiful multitalented, multi-degreed woman who is currently pursuing a second degree in nursing. We also have a grandson who quickly turned his parents’ live upside down.

I’m a professional homemaker who is also a high school paraprofessional. Been in a high school lately? My sense of humor, especially when combined with the ability to spot a lie at 10 paces, pays off on a daily basis. Thanks to an off-beat sense of humor, quick mind and ability to turn phrase I can occasionally win a battle of wits with my brother.

I’m a pretty good story-teller but I don’t hold a candle to my brother. He, in turn, runs a poor second to our dad. Apparently the gift of gab is genetic in our family.

I love the Lord, all of His children, and whatever volunteer projects He sends our way.

Time for some silliness The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because she had just gotten married for the fourth time. The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband’s occupation. “He’s a funeral director,” she answered Read More
My Bucket List is Getting Shorter
